English, CD, Tribunal and Bloodmoon
- Do you use any mods? If so, does the problem also occur in a clean vanilla install without any mods?
No mods, the problem is being able to launch openmw
- What are the exact steps to reproduce the problem? What did you expect to happen? What happened instead?
I tried installing the 48.0 version of openmw on my external 8tb harddrive (exFAT) where I keep all my games, however when launching it I got the error "Error reading OpenMW configuration files: The problem may be due to an incomplete installation of OpenMW. Reinstalling OpenMW may resolve the problem. No default settings file found! Make sure the file "defaults.bin" was properly installed." I tried reinstalling openMW, redownloading the installer, still nothing. I also tried copy pasting the defaults bin file from 0.47.0, still nothing. It finally worked and launched when I tried reinstalling and forgot to change the default installation path from the C: (NTFS). Everything worked perfectly and fine and the program launched. I then tried installing to a differetn 3tb harddrive (also exFAT), and the same error popped up. I then tried installing to my G: (which was my partitioned C:) and it worked just fine. I also tried taking the folder installed in G: cut and pasting it into my 8tb, and the same error happened
- Are there any error messages in your openmw.log
