Idea: "Distill"
My current workflow is that I'll write a thought, then elaborate on it.
Often there will be a key line on the thought - that's where the idea to highlight segments (#44) comes from.
I'm thinking about "distilling" a thought, where we:
- Keep the original around, for reference, but
- Replace the text with a simplified version, and
- Archive the original (#34 (closed)).
Where threads tack things on, making the train of thought larger, distilling pushes irrelevant information to the background so I can focus on the essence.
Questions:
- What happens to the thought in a thread?
- Do we keep the original thought around, and re-write any references to point to the new one, or create an older version?
- Am I going for thought versioning now? Should I just be laying something like Datomic on top?
