Cargo trade mission generation
Shipping Missions
Shipping Missions are tasks given by NPCs in trade centers. Cargo crates are given for delivery to a specific trade center, and must be given to the trade center’s import manager to cash in. Upon receiving the crates, the import manager pays whoever turns the crates in. The person turning it in does not have to be the one who was given the shipping mission in the first place. Shipping missions have a cost, and better missions cost more. The more money put in, the more profit made, but also the more you’d lose to a pirate attack. If the crates are lost to pirates, nothing is owed to the NPCs as the cost of the actual crates is paid for.
Cargo Crates
Crates come in both item and block form. The item form can’t go into container blocks or be kept in the inventory or picked up while riding a ship. The block form can be placed on a ship that you are the pilot of if you
The main part of a shipping mission is the cargo crates. When getting a mission, crates are given. You must have a ship landed nearby that can fit the crates to get a mission.
Mission Generation
Shipping Missions are generated procedurally. They regenerate at an interval.
