Camera App Aperture in landscape-mode: camera should write the right orientation in the result (foto or video)
Expected Behavior
When using Camera App Aperture in landscape-mode, camera should write the right Exif-Information of orientation in the result (foto or video), also then devices (lenses) or functionality (foto/video/scan...etc.) will be switched
Current Behavior
When the phone is held vertically, photos and videos can be taken correctly with Aperture. The subsequent display in the gallery or in external displays/players is correct. A) If the phone is rotated to landscape mode in photo mode, the preview view also rotates with it and subsequently pictures can be taken correctly. Or: B) If the phone is rotated to landscape mode in video mode, the preview view also rotates with it and subsequently videos can be captured correctly. Error: if the functionality (from photo to video or vice versa) is changed in landscape mode or another lens is selected, the subsequently captured images or videos are saved with the wrong orientation. Short remedy: If the phone is briefly held vertically again and a recording is started (photo or video) and then turned back to landscape mode, pictures or videos can be recorded again as described above until the functionality or lenses change. The error also occurs when the app is immediately started in landscape mode, which is the case in most cases.
Steps to Reproduce
- start Aperture in landscape mode and take pictures or video or
- start Aperture in portrait mode, turn to landscape mode, change the functionality (photo, video, scan..) or the lens (if available) and take a picture/video
