Brightness changes repeatedly in a large scale when the light in the environment doesn't change
Expected Behavior
With Adaptive brightness on, brightness smoothly changes only once (no flicker) when the light of the environment changes.
Current Behavior
Brightness changes repeatedly in a large scale (e.g. 43%~85%) when the light in the environment doesn't change. The screen flickers because of the brightness change.
Steps to Reproduce
It's kind of hard to reproduce this problem. It usually happens in a dark environment, such as room with closed curtain in the afternoon/night. It also happens at night in a room with light bulbs on. If you need some additional info, please tell me.
- Open "Setting -> Display"
- Turn on "Adaptive brightness"
- Turn off "One shot auto-brightness" inside "Adaptive brightness"
- Turn off "Dark theme" (might be unrelated)
- Brightness level will change repeatedly
This is screencast that shows the brightness change. It was took yesterday 3:56 PM. The curtain was opened a little, and there was some light in the room. It was kind of dark. The brightness changed repeatedly between 43% and 85%. 70% should be the correct brightness for me at that time.
The phone has glass screen protector that covers the front camera. I don't know if it's related. The seller told me the screen protector won't affect adaptive brightness.
