Mobile Data does not reactivate after switching to Wi-Fi or after using airplane mode or after losing signal, until reboot
Expected Behavior
When I turn off an on mobile data, it should reconnect and internet access should be available. Same after disconnecting from a Wi-Fi network or after using airplane mode.
Current Behavior
When Wi-Fi is used or when Cellular signal drops to 0 and then resumes, the mobile data is not reestablished until I reboot the phone. This occurs with both fast network switching on and off. This also occurs if I manually turn off mobile data and turn it back on or when I enable and disable airplane mode.
Possible Solution
Not sure what the issue is, maybe the phone is not receiving an event that tells it to reconnect after these network events occur, or perhaps the phone doesn't know that LTE has been deactivated in order to reactivate it.
Steps to Reproduce
- Be connected to mobile data.
- Either connect to Wi-Fi, enable airplane mode, or disable mobile data.
- Then, disconnect from Wi-Fi, disable airplane mode, or re-enable mobile data.
- Notice that there is no mobile data connection, even though it says "4G" in my case and there is good signal.
- Reboot the phone, mobile data works again.
