Stock camera stopped working after recent update
Expected Behavior
When a feature is working in a third-party camera app, and the third-party app does not change, a nightly update should not break that feature. Specifically: "Portrait" mode in the Moto Camera 2 app on a Motorola Moto Z2 Force, which uses both rear-facing camera lenses to blur the background of a photo, should not have stopped working in a recent update, since it was working previously.
In the December 15 nightly build for nash, I was able to open the Moto 2 Camera app and take a "Portrait mode" photo to blur the photo background.
Current Behavior
After installing the December 29 nightly build, just launching the Moto 2 Camera app gives an error message:
Hardware version does not support Portrait mode
The Portrait Mode is completely unavailable in the UI.
Possible Solution
It looks like the changelog for nash includes "Drop unneeded camera props" among other changes (many updates to SELinux policy and device-specific property values it looks like). I suspect these may have broken something.
Steps to Reproduce
- Download "Moto 2 Camera" app from Play store
- Launch app
- See error message in popup banner
