Copy-Paste from/to Firefox does not work, same does work on other Android versions

In Firefox for Android (Fennec) it is currently not possible to copy-paste, neither from Firefox to another app, nor from another app to Firefox, nor within Firefox itself. All these operations work if Firefox is installed on an Android variant other than Lineage OS. Bug has been reported to Mozilla's bugzilla (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1593517), which they then closed because " I will close this issue as INVALID as we do not offer support for Custom Rom Android."

Copy-paste should work from/to Firefox

Current Behavior

1. Longtapping in Firefox, and then chosing copy does not make the selected data available to other applications, nor to firefox itself.
2. Longtapping in Firefox does not show a "Paste" menu item (or does not pop up a menu at all, depending on where you do it)

Possible Solution

Steps to Reproduce

Copying from firefox:

1. In firefox, longtap on a word "example"
2. Click copy
3. Go to another application
4. Longtap in an input area
5. Click paste
6. Rather than pasting the word selected in firefox, it pastes a previous selection!

Copying to firefox also fails.

1. Longtap in any zone where text could be pasted (such as address bar, or a form field)
2. It gives either no reaction, or a menu which lacks a paste option.

@alain142 Please install latest version of LineageOS 17.1 and confirm whether this is still an issue. Follow the correct upgrade procedure as can be found on the wiki.

Still an issue here with Guacamole and lineageos 17.1 20200425

In particular, I'm unable to paste anything here.

After some testing, I dont see the paste item in all apps even lineage email app.

Just tested, I can copy text from a page opened in Firefox and then paste it to the address bar. Managed to also paste it in the default SMS app, so the issue probably isn't a LineageOS-specific one? Are you using the latest version of Firefox from the GApps store or from elsewhere?

Issue is closed, as Lineage 16.0 is no longer being actively maintained for the bardock/pro.

Still an issue in lineage-18.1-20220716-NIGHTLY-bardockpro (there haven't been any updates available since then)
