John Testa Retrospective Sprint 1
Activity
Reflection
What worked well?
- As a whole, the team worked very well from the start. We quickly were able to come up with a time for everyone to meet, Thursday’s at around 3:00 p.m., and if we had any more to talk about during the week, we usually were pretty good at setting up an impromptu meeting. Considering most of the issues that were created for this sprint were mainly independently done, I don’t think our teamwork was tested too much, but when it was tested, we handled it pretty well. People always answered the group chat in a reasonable amount of time when a question was asked towards them and if we needed to get into a call to talk to someone in particular, it was easy to set up.
What did not work well?
- I can’t think of anything specific that didn’t go well, and I don’t foresee any problems in the future sprints with this team. Maybe if the next sprint isn’t as independent it may be a little tougher to find more meeting times, but I think our team will handle it well.
Future Team Growth
- Like I said before, I think our team is dealing with communication very well so in terms of overall team growth, I don’t think there are any problems there and we just need to keep up with the good communication.
Future Individual Growth
- As an individual, there are some things I wish to improve for the next sprint. First, to be a little more active in helping my teammates with their issues when they have questions. This sprint, I was never ahead in terms of my work so I was always busy with my work and could not help my teammates. Another aspect I would like to get better at is to ask more questions about my issues in order to not fall behind. Creating the requirements document, I was stuck on some of the parts that were solved very easily once I asked a teammate about it.
