Charlie Lucyk Retrospective

Sprint 1
Work Accomplished: For Sprint #1 (closed), I created a document for ViewOrder’s frontend that would assist with anyone who wants to jump in on the project after our team is done with it. More specifically, it contains details of the frontend technologies used for ViewOrder. This document currently lives here: https://gitlab.com/LibreFoodPantry/client-solutions/bear-necessities-market/ordersystem/vieworder/frontend/-/blob/master/Frontend%20Research%20Findings.md.
After completing this, I created a mockup for the ViewOrder function by editing the existing frontend for the ApproveOrder Module, since this is where the ViewOrder function will be used. Screenshots of this mockup live here: https://gitlab.com/LibreFoodPantry/client-solutions/bear-necessities-market/ordersystem/vieworder/planning/-/tree/master/diagrams
Finally, I concluded the sprint by having a meeting with the Product Owner Melissa to gain a better understanding of what she wanted the page to look like from an aesthetic standpoint, as well as confirm that the mockup of ViewOrder was to her liking. This was a big step forward as I learned that the page should simply be visually consistent with the rest of the University web sites and apps.
What worked well: Our team worked independently for the most part during this sprint, though we collaborated on things like the Requirements document since we felt it was important that we all saw the requirements of ViewOrder. I think this independent and collaborate-when-needed style worked really well for us, as everyone was able to finish all of their issues for the sprint. We also moved meetings around quite frequently to accommodate our different schedules which worked really well also.
What didn’t work well: I can’t think of anything that didn’t work well or went wrong. I think we all worked well together this sprint.
What changes could be made to improve the team: I think if we keep up the work ethic that we had for Sprint 1 for the rest of the sprints then no changes need to be made to how we operate.
What changes could be made to improve as an individual: I think I could ask more questions in the community discord frontend section when I have them. When I get stuck on a problem I usually try to figure it out on my own even if it takes a really long time, which I think is probably unnecessary.
