What is the goal or the problem, and why is it important?
The goal is to install and validate the functionality of the current InventorySystem/api in GitLab. The reason this should be done is to ensure each member on the Inventory System team has at minimum a basic understanding of how this system works and is compiled in Docker.
Epic: &4 (closed)
Issues:
How are you going to achieve the goal or solve the problem?
By following the README.md in the API project. This document provides the initial steps to install and run the API locally.
What will be produced as a result of this effort and where will it live on GitLab?
A screenshot of the running Docker containers will be submitted by each assignee in the comments section of this issue as proof of completion.
Give a justification of weight or due date.
Weight: 2
Due Date: 03/08/2023
Justification: We understand that some issues may come up when setting up these environments for the first time, especially when accounting for issues with the project itself and not the local environment. A weight of two should provide enough time for the assignee's to solve these problems, or raise an issue for any unsolvable obstacles.
Who will do it, and what will they do?
@kevinpo363 and @dhruvanshuthakkar will work on this issue together. They will follow the instructions in the aforementioned README file and provide screenshots of the completed & running Docker containers.
What was the outcome?
Evidence of success will be shown in comment section of issue through screenshots of environment terminal and docker image.
