ASUS PRIME Z370-A colour issues (Windows)

Description of Bug

So my mobo mostly works in Windows (no access to Linux atm), but some effects don't work and the colours in "direct" mode affect various LED zones differently.

Hardware Configuration

  • ASUS PRIME Z370-A (this issue)
  • NZXT Smart Device v2 (other issue)
  • Corsair Vengeance PRO RGB

Bug Details

  • [-] "Direct" (more later)
  • [-] "Static" (only pauses effects but doesn't change any colors, not sure what it is supposed to do)
  • [-] "Breathing" (only on motherboard LEDs, not on header)
  • [-] "Flashing" (only on motherboard LEDs, not on header)
  • [OK] "Spectrum Cycle"
  • [OK] "Rainbow"
  • [OK] "Chase Fade"
  • [OK] "Chase"
  • [OK] "Random Flicker"

"Direct" mode is actually having a bug similar to the one in #1516 (closed) it seems. I can set a colour, but it is only set to the first 3 LED zones of the motherboard correctly (6 LEDs - it's 2 per zone), while the 4th LED zone as well as the motherboard LED header have a different colour.

When I set for example, all devices ("apply all devices") to blue, the first 6 mobo LEDs are blue, the last 2 are yellow and the header is off.

When I set everything to red, the first 6 mobo LEDs are red, the last 2 are blue and the header is kind of a light blue.

When I set everything to green, the first 6 mobo LEDs are green, the last 2 are red and the header is also red.
