Yaml improvements around provenance

Description

This adds multiple improvements around how we eal with provenance

Changes proposed in this merge request:

• Remove indices from 'node_get_provenance'
• Remove 'key' from 'get_path_from_node'
• Rework 'assert_symbol_name'
