Weird Keyframe Interval Settings
As we all know aomenc has the option to set the keyframe-max-inteval to 9999 frames. SVT on the other hand only allows 255frames.
This is a bit troublesome as normally a keyframe every 5-10s is enough. If you encode with tools like Av1an it will split the file into all the different scenes, so will run a scene detection first. Most scenes in a movie are between 3-10s long, this means that even with 30fps, not even considering 60fps, the you will place a keyframe way too often. With aomenc it would use 1 keyframe for the whole scene which is perfectly fine, here you would use at least 2 keyframes for 300frames (5s on 60fps). This makes the overall efficiency compared to aom worse. Also the default setting for 33frames isn't that great.
Could we change that to also allow a theoretical maximum of like 9999 frames like aom? Not that anybody should use that, but to at least give the option for higher values than 600 would be nice.
