Run a physics frame while weapon projectiles are spawning
According to Mario, Xonotic currently does not run a physics frame while weapon projectiles are spawning, which prevents instant detonation if shot directly into a wall, for example. In CTS, this results in inconsistent and frustrating behavior when using weapons to gain momentum at relatively high speeds. These problems become very noticable beyond 2000 qu/s and manifest in such a way that, for example, one can shoot a rocket directly into a wall right next to the player, yet receive no knockback from it, because by the time a physics frame is run and the rocket explodes, the player has already travelled out of its blast radius.
As far as I can tell, running a physics frame while weapon projectiles are spawning would help to fix these issues.
