New weapon: Lightning gun

The basic concept is very simple, this weapon will be primarily close-to-medium ranged with a focus on attacking and charging into battles. Also, this is an example of a human weapon.. just like the nexgun. crylink, electro, etc those are alien weapons…. while these are meant to be man-made and human looking.
It could use a reloading ammo method where you have one small “magazine” of energy that has a very short reload time. Or alternatively it could just be some kind of charge, similar to nex (but not being drawn in bursts of energy with slow recharge like nex)….
Primary will be a simple beam which bends exponentially by distance, essentially the further away from the gun the looser the beam becomes. It also loses damage and force and such based on distance (which can have a visual representation due to polytrail visual implementation of the beam) - Maximum distance is to be determined, but probably will be between 1000qu and 1500qu. If charge is used, it would drain the energy of the charge linearly…. And the beam would lose damage/force/visably get weaker when the charge is lower. A similar idea can be done for reload, but probably wouldn’t make sense to have it lose damage/force with less ammo in the “magazine.”
Secondary is essentially a surge of energy which runs down the beam.. the basic idea behind this one is that it would be an electric explosion of sorts which passes down the beam until it hits a player.. this means you have to time the surge down the beam as well, also the surge drains the entire magazine/charge of energy all at once… obviously the more charge you put into it the stronger it is. This is just a basic idea for the secondary by tZork which has a bit of a tactical idea behind it.
