Currently, if you hit multiple enemies but at least one of them is your teammate, typing or frozen, you get the annoying
typehit.wav sound instead of
hit.wav. This makes no sense, in FT you typically hit the frozen player if someone is reviving him. Same for shots that hit both enemies and teammates when teamdamage is off. It should only use
typehit when none of the hits are useful/desirable or when it actually hurt a teammate (not counting pushing as hurting).
Also, any chance of getting a way more annoying
typehit sound? Some people think everything is DM and take ages to realize they're shooting teammates.
Since someone wants to take a look at this I should clarify what I consider ideal. There are 3 options for a hit:
- good -
- neutral - nothing
- bad -
- hitting only enemies
- hitting enemies and teammates when teamdamage is off (the push is annoying but this is typically better than not helping a teammate)
- When pushing frozen players in FT or other similar passive objects (flags, nades, etc.)
- hitting only teammates
- hitting enemies and teammates when teamdamage in on (nothing is more annoying than getting killed by a teammate)
Feel free to come up with more examples.
