damagetext kinda wallhacky
The damage text gives away players positions quite precisely in my opinion. Before you could spam a wall with rockets and you just knew that there was an enemy somewhere near your shot (from the hurt sound). With damagetext, the game will draw a number at the players position which is quite an advantage for the attacker.
It even allows for 'seeing' the path a player took in case they are burning (napalm grenade) or falling (impact damage which is attributed to a player who pushed an enemy off a surface) even when the player is actually not visible.
Also the numbers are not shown through warpzones which can will look weird when you shoot a player directly in front of you (at the other side of a warpzones) but the damage text appears somewhere completely different (at the actual position of the player on the map).
Is there a way we can still display the damage but not bound to the position of a player?
