Misleading "brush face has invalid texture name" warnings.
When loading my map, I get a lot of warnings of the form:
brush face has invalid texture name: 'textures/parpax_evillair/e6xgratebasic_s'
brush face has invalid texture name: 'textures/parpax_evillair/e6xgratebasic_b_s'
However, both shaders show up correctly in the 3D preview window immediately after map load, and furthermore they show up (both as the shaders with the _s
-suffix and as the texture maps without it) with their preview image when I open the set in the texture browser, together with the following console output:
Loaded Texture: "textures/parpax_evillair/e6xgratebasic"
Loaded Texture: "textures/parpax_evillair/e6xgratebasic_b"
In fact, the _s
-suffixed "textures" are the following shaders:
textures/parpax_evillair/e6xgratebasic_b_s
{
qer_editorimage textures/parpax_evillair/e6xgratebasic_b.tga
surfaceparm trans
surfaceparm nomarks
surfaceparm metalsteps
cull none
{
map textures/parpax_evillair/e6xgratebasic_b.tga
alphafunc GE128
depthwrite
}
{
map $lightmap
depthfunc equal
blendfunc filter
}
}
textures/parpax_evillair/e6xgratebasic_s
{
qer_editorimage textures/parpax_evillair/e6xgratebasic.tga
surfaceparm trans
surfaceparm nomarks
surfaceparm metalsteps
cull none
{
map textures/parpax_evillair/e6xgratebasic.tga
alphafunc GE128
depthwrite
}
{
map $lightmap
depthfunc equal
blendfunc filter
}
}
I cannot yet tell what happens after map compileation, since #112 (closed) blocks it.
