Labels in pan mode

In pan mode and a low zoom level there are lots of waypoint descriptions on the map which make it impossible to identify the point you want to pan to. Not so sure if they become reduced in flight mode (hope so), but can you please consider an option to suppress waypoint labels completely while panning?
