landscape orientation not working on Yotaphone2

Just installed current Beta (0.6.0-817-g4df6beca) and when switching to the eink screen, after starting the app on the colour screen, the landscape orientation (which I set in xctrack preferences) is not maintained. This works in the current 0.6 stable version. As a side note, if xctrack is started directly from the eink screen the orientation is always portrait, even in the current 0.6 stable version. Yota is running Android 6.0.1. Not seeing anything particularly useful in logcat output. I'm a Android developer so happy to assist in more detailed debugging as needed.
