Add Python script to generate synthetic data to test vector glyphs and streambarbs with projection
For testing: Add a Python script that generates a NetCDF file with synthetic wind data. To begin, it should have variables with a single level, for the wind components u/v, with 3 "time steps" (= different vector fields) each. A separate variable is provided for each wind component for geographical coordinates, rotates coordinates, proj-stereographic coordinates:
Timestep 1: u/v pointing eastward, i.e. u=1, v=0 Timestep 2: u/v pointing northward, i.e. u=0, v=1 Timestep 3: u/v pointing north-east, i.e. u=1, v=1
The vector fields need to be projected to some rotated and some stereographic grid (proj bindings?).
Make sure that the projection settings are mentioned in CF compliant attributes.
Expected Met.3D behaviour: The user is required to set the checkbox whether the used wind components are specified on a geographic/rotated/projected grid. Wind barbs, vector glyphs and streamlines should be displayed correctly.
Add the script to new "testing/syntheticdata" directory.
