Error loading g729.so plugin with Wireshark 4.0.9 and 3.6.17 on macOS
Summary
When starting the Wireshark 4.0.9 on macOS Ventura, version 13.6 (Intel MacBook Pro) I get a pop-up error notification about an error loading plugin "g729.so".
Steps to reproduce
Run the Wireshark 4.0.9 application
What is the current bug behavior?
A pop-up error message appears with this text:
Couldn't load plugin 'g729.so': diopen/Applications/Wireshark.app/Contents/Plugins/wireshark/4-0/codecs/g729.so, Ox0002): Library not loaded: @rpath/libbcg729.0.dylib
Referenced from: <2A0679AA-D815-3D18-BFE9-EAFC112B9859>/Applications/Wireshark.app/Contents/PlugIns/wireshark/4-0/codecs/g729.so
Reason: tried: 'Applications/Wireshark.app/Contents/Frameworks/libbcg729.0.dylib' (no such file), '/us/lib/libbcg729.O.dylib' (no such file, not in dyld cache)".
Clicking the "OK" button dismisses the error and the app continues to run. I did not try to decode any traffic that uses the G.729 codec so I don't know all the implications of this error message.
What is the expected correct behavior?
No pop-up error
