Client can't connect with server in newest release
I use second monitor in a LAN environment. So 2 computers, each with Windows 10, in a small local network. When I run the latest version 9.17.0, I am unable to connect from the client to the server. Message in the timing app, bottom left "not connected" While the port is open on the router.
However, when I install an older version, and I'm going back to the last release of the 8 series : 8.12.3 , I'am able to connect the client to the server and I get the message bottom left "Remote".
I've have not tested the releases in between, so between 8.12.3 and 9.17.0.
In both situations, the IP addresses of both computers have remained the same and I always use the same port. Anyone have an idea what's going wrong? I would like to be able to use the latest version.
Also tested the other way around, so client became server and server became client, same result. Also with windows firewall on and off. The only difference I notice is that with the 8.12.3 version I do have the option to turn on the "enable remote connector". The newest version doesn't seems to have this option anymore.
If i run the application on 1 computer, so server and client on the same PC, with 9.17.0 it seems to run fine. So i think its network related.
