What happened to the API documentation? Can I help get it back up?

Avid D2 player and software engineer. I saw WastedOnDestiny.com references an API, but unfortunately the links to it (and its documentation) seem to be dead. What happened to it? Can I help get the documentation republished, or is there a concern (e.g., security) which prevents you from publishing it now? My clan loves comparing ourselves via WastedOnDestiny.com in addition to Charlemagne and would find the API even more fun. I'd love to help.
