Menus in the menubar don't respond properly on AdaCore's GNAT Programming Studio IDE.
AdaCore's GNAT Programming Studio is a popular IDE for the Ada programming language, and it appears to have some problems with Appmenu. I reported this bug to AdaCore as well.
Here's the exact description of the problem from the original issue:
Menu items in the menubar fail to respond properly to editor changes when using Appmenu on Linux desktops.
To reproduce this:
- Install fresh Debian Sid with XFCE 4.14 and
xfce4-appmenu-plugin
. - Enable Appmenu by adding it to one of your desktop panels.
- Open up GPS and see its menubar being exported to the desktop panel.
- Write something, and select some text in the editor.
- Go to Edit, and notice that items like Copy, Cut, Undo, Redo, etc... are disabled.
The subject IDE is available in Debian's official repositories as gnat-gps
and the version I got is 18-5
.
When debugging xfce4-panel
from terminal, I see the error:
(wrapper-2.0:24086): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 09:31:38.344: gtk_label_set_text_with_mnemonic: assertion 'str != NULL' failed
Printed repeatedly when I do something with the editor.
