Can a warning message be provided to users when they approach the 10 GB quota limit in their Savio home directories?
Savio users are encountering a lot of error messages in their work that relate to exceeding their disk quotas in their home directories. These various error messages particularly come up when they use Conda to set up environments and try to install python packages in their home directories. Would it be possible to send warning messages to users (either in the form of email messages or messages that appear to them when they log into Savio via a terminal window or via OOD) as they get close to the 10 GB limit in their home directories? The message could let them know that they're getting close to the 10 GB limit and they need to remove data from their home directories soon or they won't be able to write/create files, install packages, or add any more data to their home directories, etc. For examples/references, see:
