GPS/Location Service not working
I can't seem to get my location via GPS (v293-v299). I have tried uNav and pure maps, and neither work. I have tried connecting to gpsd directly via netcat and tell it to dump my location with ?WATCH{enabled:true}
and it showed me the modem as a sensor, but nothing else happened.
Location is enabled. I have come across this post that supposedly enables things.
sudo gpsd start
sudo restart ubuntu-location-service
initctl unset-env --global UBUNTU_PLATFORM_API_BACKEND
initctl set-env --global UBUNTU_PLATFORM_API_BACKEND=touch_mirclient
This did not work.
I installed the sensor app and had it running in the background. At some point I got a position, but it didn't update and I don't know what happened. I tried this indoors and outdoors and in my car in several different locations a few km apart and I didn't manage to get it to register a position again since.
