Modem occasionally crashes, Connection type disappears from System settings > Cellular
Quite often the PinePhone modem locks up. In that case, it can no longer access the internet even though the system still thinks it's online. It still has an IP address and routing table, but it is completely non-responsive.
When this happens, the Connection type option disappears from System settings > Cellular:
When I run /usr/share/ofono/scripts/get-tech-preference
in that case, I get the following result:

The modem still responds to its AT interpreter though:

OK
When I run sudo service ofono restart
, the situation seems to resolve. Running get-tech-preference
again, it will respond normally:
Technology preference: lte
And the selector is back where it should be:
Moreover, the modem will work again in this case.
