Please explicitly enumerate necessary "quality standards" for submissions
On the upload page it states: "The uploaded books will be reviewed by the librarians and included if they comply our quality standards."
Can you please be a bit more clear about what those standards are?
I completely understand the need to make sure the Library has quality content, and you want to avoid spam at all costs. However, it would be really helpful to know what in particular you're looking for.
The specific question I'd like answered (but this doesn't answer every question, and even if you answer this one I think a posted list of submission guidelines would be a good idea), is this: What about books that have been published online, but not through an official publishing house.
More specifically, I'd like to submit a copy of "Worm" in ebook form. Worm is a long, extremely high-quality, complete web serial available here: parahumans.wordpress.com. Even though it's available for free, the author insists on (and enforces through his copyright) distributing it only through his site and doesn't like ebooks of it because he might take it down and publish it some day. I'd like to submit an ebook copy to the library to preserve a copy publicly. But... it's not a typical book straight out of the publishing industry. Is this an addition you would welcome to your library?
Note: I would have posted this issue on the forum instead of here, except... see issue #31 (closed)
