Added a file, behaves as if not added!
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Created and switched to a branch.
- Added two files (a Windows WPF user control).
- Might have committed them, not sure.
- The following week, I tried to commit changes, and changes to these files were not picked up. When I right mouse clicked on the files, I was able to add but not view the log. When I switched back to the master branch, and committed changes, these files seemed to be on the master branch, but right mouse click and there was a menu item to add the files, but not view the log, it looked as if they were not in the repository.
Files called DeviceNotFoundView.xaml and DeviceNotFoundView.xaml.cs.
If I edit one of the files, commit changes on the parent folder, then the changes are picked up and committed. But, as far as the right mouse click menu is concerned, the files are still not under Git. Very confusing and worrying.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead? See above.
What version of TortoiseGit and Git are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 2.8.0.0 (C:\Program Files\TortoiseGit\bin) git version 2.18.0.windows.1 (C:\Program Files\Git\bin; C:\Program Files\Git\mingw64; C:\Program Files\Git\mingw64\etc\gitconfig; C:\ProgramData\Git\config)
