Right clicking on a remote branch in the git log should not hide checkout local branch option
What steps will reproduce the problem?
I have been using tortoisegit for 8 years and this has been annoying me for a long time - I finally spent time to work out what happened!
- Checkout master
- Create a branch, e.g. feature1, and commit something, and push it.
- Switch back to master.
After some time on master, you want to switch back to your local feature1 branch.
- Open git log
- Right click on 'remote/feature1' branch label on the log line (NOTE: You must click on the remote branch name box at the start of the line!)
- Notice you do NOT have the option to 'Switch/Checkout to feature1'
- Get confused
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- Right clicking anywhere on the log line should give you the same options. There is no reason to hide the local switch/checkout option when you accidentally right click on the remote branch name.
What version of TortoiseGit and Git are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 220.127.116.11 git version 2.18.0.windows.1
