diff of "Working dir changes" uses incorrect line endings

What steps will reproduce the problem?
"Git Show Log"
Select "Working dir changes" from the revision log pane (first entry at very top)
Double-click on any member listed in the pane at the bottom (which lists the individual members which have been modified).
What is the expected output?
A comparison of my working directory member (which has CRLF line endings) with a pre-processed copy of the BASE member which has had its LF line endings automatically converted to CRLF line endings (so as to be compatible with my line-endings setting).
What do you see instead?
A comparison of my working directory member against the raw BASE member which has different line endings than my working diretory member, causing every single line to appear as having been modified, thereby rendering the "diff" functionality for working directory changes completely useless.
What version of the product are you using?
git version 1.7.10.msysgit.1
On what operating system?
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit fully patched
