TortoiseProc crashes when repo contains huge files

What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Choose "Git show log" menu item
- Wait a little for TortoiseProc to scan repo
- Crash dialog appears
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.7.4.0
git version 1.7.6.msysgit.0
on Windows XP Professional English x86 with SP3 installed
Please provide any additional information below.
Repo contains file of approx. size 400M. This file was changed several times during the product life timeline.
Looking into TortoiseProc with debugger reveals thet crash occures when creating mapping of this file fails.
