Password with Percent (%) is not accepted

By joni... on July 27, 2011 13:14 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Checkout a password proteced repository, your password contains the % character

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The repository is checked out

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Tortoise GIT 1.6.5.0, msysgit 1.7.6

Please provide any additional information below.
As a workaround you can put in the password with doubled % as printf is used to print the password to the commandline of git.

There should be a check for % in before the print and double them automatically

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
