Cannot have x86 and x64 versions installed at the same time.

By ArturDorochow... on April 30, 2009 21:15 (imported from Google Code)

For various reasons I want to have both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions
installed at the same time, however, this does not seem to be possible at
this time.
When I have one of them already installed and try to install the other one,
its installer mistakenly determines that the version is already installed
and gives me options to repair or uninstall the already installed version.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Install either 32-bit or 64-bit version.
  2. Try to install the other version

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should be possible to have both versions installed at the same time.
(It works for TortoiseSVN at least)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.5.1, but it also failed with previous version - 0.4.2
I'm currently running Windows 7 beta x64, previously had Windows Server
2008 x64, where it also failed.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
