Rebase window should list the contents of a commit just like Log window does. (Enhancement)

By juj... on April 21, 2011 13:53 (imported from Google Code)

Start rebasing one branch on top of another. In the rebase window, select a commit item from the list. Nothing happens. The bottom window stays empty all the time.

Instead, I expect the bottom window should show the contents of the commit that was selected, just like clicking on a commit item in the Log window does. That way the user could easily double-click on files to see what kind of changes were created in that commit.

Currently I have to open a separate log window to be able to view the commits and manually find from the Log window the commit items I'm looking at in the Rebase window. It would be easier if the Rebase window itself would show the same information.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
