TortoiseGit-1.5.2.0-32bit.msi does not recognize msysGit-fullinstall-1.7.1-preview20100612.exe

By bdim... on July 06, 2010 17:25 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

on a clean system

  1. install http://msysgit.googlecode.com/files/msysGit-fullinstall-1.7.1-preview20100612.exe
  2. install http://tortoisegit.googlecode.com/files/TortoiseGit-1.5.2.0-32bit.msi

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

In the tortoise settings when clicking on the "Check now" button it shows nothing

Please provide any additional information below.

the solution - to append ";C:\msysgit\mingw\bin" to the PATH environment variable

i decided to post a bug here because of msysgit itself does append PATH when it is being runed with C:\msysgit\git-cmd.bat

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
