Removed/deleted branches still visible in TortoiseGit

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Right mouse click on Repro
  2. TortoiseGit | Merge... (or Switch/Checkout...)
  3. Merge - TortoiseGit From / Branch: ComboBox lists branches (local + remove) which have been already removed (locally + remote)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Only branches that exist should be listed.

What version of TortoiseGit and Git are you using? On what operating system? TortoiseGit 2.5.0.0 git version 2.28.0.windows.1 Microsoft Windows Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.1845)

Please provide any additional information below. The branches really do not exist (git remote prune origin /or even:/ git fetch -v --progress --prune "origin"). See also #2765 (closed).

Seems to be a caching problem. Meanwhile having more than hundreds not existing branches in the List ...
