Add Switch/Checkout to Tags and Refs in Revision Graph

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. From Windows Explorer, open the TortoiseGit menu and select Revision Graph.
  2. On the Revision Graph, right-click on any branch, sub-menu has an option for Switch/Checkout to [branch]
  3. Right-click on any Tag or Reference, sub-menu does not have an option for Switch/Checkout to ...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

When right-clicking on a Tag or Reference entity, it should be possible to create a new local branch from any tag or reference. This is used when going back in time to apply hot fixes to older releases.

What version of TortoiseGit and Git are you using? On what operating system?

  • Windows 10
  • TortoiseGit: 2.9.0.0

Please provide any additional information below.

TortoiseGit is excellent! Thank you.
