Commit message after "Revert changes by these commits" suggests a single commit is reverted
TortoiseGit's Log Messages window (from the Show log menu item) allows to select multiple commits. If the contextual menu is invoked on multiple commits, the menu item "Revert change by this commit" quite naturally becomes "Revert changes by these commits", and the changes of all selected commits are reverted. However, the default messages in the commit dialog which appears after performing multiple reversions suggest that a single commit was reverted (in my case, that commit is the oldest). For example, the default message I got when reverting 5 commits was:
- Revert "feat_stats"
This reverts commit f5aae5e62075162a54464ed5a6eb74982cf44e95.
Yet, I verified that the reversion reverts all changes from the 5 commits I selected.
This happens with TortoiseGit 2.9.0 on Windows 8.
