TortoiseGitMerge UI: Context menu is not available on margin left to text any more

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. I upgraded TortoiseGit to 2.5.0.0 and even tried to re-install to fix the problem.
  2. Open TortoiseGitMerge for a file with changes and right-click on the +/- icons beside the changed lines.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect a context menu any more with options to use e.g. the left block, etc. To be clear the problem is that the context menu does not come up at all, which indicates to me that some of the UI wiring got broken.

What version of TortoiseGit and Git are you using? On what operating system?

  • TortoiseGit 2.5.0.0
  • Git 2.14.1.windows.1
  • OS: Windows 10 (latest Creators Update)
