"Check For Updates..." do nothing behind proxy

By INNenas... on February 05, 2010 18:28 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Be in local network with Proxy for internet
2. Open TortoiseGIT / About
3. Click "Check For Updates..." button

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I'm expecting to view progress bar of the INTERNET request and error
message if it failed. In error message I expect read about where i can set
up proxy settings.

But there are no reaction at all!

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.3.2.0
git version 1.6.5.1.1367.gcd48
Windows XP SP2
