Active urls in output windows opened when hitting ESC

So several months ago I opened #2865 (closed). Works great and all, except:

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Push to the remote
2. Click the URL
3. Switch back (alt tab/task bar) to the output window
4. Hit ESC

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I would expect the window to close, instead another browser instance is opened with the URL.

What version of TortoiseGit and Git are you using? On what operating system?

v2.4.0.2 on Windows 10 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.

Not much more information to give, but perhaps another request when bug fixing this: When clicking the URL whilst holding a modifier key, the URL opens AND the window closes. I think ALT would work best here, since CTRL + click and SHIFT + click doesn't feel intuitive since it has other purposes in browsers.
