Using patience diff in TortoiseGitMerge

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Right click on a changed file > TortoiseGit > Diff > Observe the diff shown
2. Open TortoiseGit Settings, look for an option to enable patience diff

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would like to see a diff done with the patience diff algorithm, or an option to enable it.

What version of TortoiseGit and Git are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 2.3.0.0, Git 2.9.0, Windows 7 SP1.

I'm looking for a way to enable patience diff in the diff GUI. Googling for "tortoisegit patience diff" returns this source page, is it relevant?
