Exclude paths (icon overlays)

Hi, I cannot get the Exclude paths setting of the Icon Overlays section working (at least with TortoiseGit 2.3.0.0).

• D:\code\* contains several git projects so for example D:\code\anyproject would be a clone of a git repo
• The Include paths setting works as expected as D:\code\anyproject itself and its files/folders have got icon overlays
• Issue: However, icon overlays are shown for git repos under the D:\code\_third\* exclude path, which seems to be ignored by TortoiseGit in this case at least
• I have tried different syntaxes: D:\code\_third and D:\code\_third\** but they all give the same result

Note that I have TortoiseSVN 1.8.11 installed if it matters. Here are my settings:
