Fetch And Rebase doesn't rebase if nothing is fetched

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Commit a change to a repo
  2. Fetch latest changes from remote.
  3. Fetch And Rebase

What is the expected output?

If step 2 above actually fetched some changes, then step 3 should bring up the Rebase dialog.

What do you see instead?

Because no additional changes are fetched at step 3, step 3 does not bring up the rebase dialog. It incorrectly assumes that a rebase does not need to be done.

What version of TortoiseGit and Git are you using? On what operating system?

Tortoise Git 2.1.0.0 Git For Windows: 2.8.2.windows.1

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
