Can't filter message in annotated tag or text in notes

By boris.wylut...@variatec.com on July 06, 2015 20:24 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Append notes on some commits
  2. Open show log window
  3. There would show annotated tag messages and text of notes in the main message field of these commits
  4. But, if use filter controls at the top of the Log Dialog, the notes are not considered.

What is the expected output?
Expected to see all commits that include the filter keywords including where it occurs in notes only.

What do you see instead?
Only the original message of the commit can be filtered.

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using?
1.8.14.0 on Windows 8.1

Please provide any additional information below.

This was also reported in #2149 (closed) but only partically fixed, namely for the Ctrl+F search, but not for the filter function. The reporter added this comment and screenshot after the partial fix but the issue was already marked "fixed" and not reopened.
