Make push available in log for arbitrary commits

By joseph.thom... on February 11, 2015 09:24 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Right click on a commit in the log to which no branch is pointing
  2. Observe no option to "Push"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

In my opinion, there should be a push option, and when clicked, the "Push" dialog should appear with the commit ID as the local ref.

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?

TortoiseGit 1.8.12.2

Please provide any additional information below.

My workflow when using Gerrit means that I may have a number of changes queued up locally, but I only want to push a few at a time (often they will be rejected in code review, and every patch set triggers an automated regression test). I used to create branches on the commits I wished to push, but now I just tend to use the command line for pushing.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
