CTRL+ENTER locks up GUI on Updating Index...

By mpiet...@revation.com on December 05, 2014 18:01 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. lunch the git-commit main dialog
  2. type a comment
  3. press CTRL+ENTER

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

> That it runs the commit (worked in previous versions).
> It present the updating index... dialog and it never completes. I've given it hours. Hitting cancel never completes. If I right-click to close the main commit dialog, it closes the updating index... dialog. NOTE: if I use the mouse button and click the main dialog OK button the commit completes like normal; this is some kind of odd GUI interaction locking up the updating index... dialog I'd guess.

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?

> 1.8.12.0 on git 1.9.4
> Win8.1x64

Please provide any additional information below.

> Just started happening on this latest update, although I'm not sure I was on the most recent previous version...
